We all have great intentions.  But what shapes our lives isn’t our lives isn’t our intentions.  What shapes our lives is what we actually do – on a daily basis.  In short, our lives are shaped by our habits.  So, our habits matter.

Our habits can make us feel fabulous or terrible.  They can lead to our being physically ill.  Or they can lead us to be exceptionally healthy.  They can result in depression.  Or they can lead us to feel positive about ourselves and the world around us.

So, if you really want to improve your life, you have to adopt great habits.  Below are lists of simple habits that work.  If you actually do them on a daily basis, you will see a difference in your health and happiness.  Try them, and see your life change for the better!

10 Great Daily Habits for Your Physical Health

1. Brush and floss your teeth 2-3 times a day

2. Drink a glass of water with every meal and snack

3. Eat at least one vegetable with both lunch and dinner

4.  Exercise for at least 30 minutes every day

5. Wear sunscreen all year round

6. Sit, stand and walk with good posture

7. Care for your feet – moisturize, massage and exfoliate

8. Regularly wash your hands with warm, soapy water

9. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser before going to sleep

10. Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night

1. Meditate or pray for 10 minutes each day

2. Encourage another person every day

3. Read 5 pages of spiritually uplifting literature

4. Count 3 ways that you are blessed each morning

7. Rest in silence for 10 minutes every afternoon

8. Stop reading emails and text messages after 8 p.m.

7. Turn off the television two hours before bedtime
